Since I saw that the Phoenix Mars Lander runs Linux, I have wondered what would have happened if it had run Windows Vista?

Yeah, read the comments for the real story. Nasa’s system is built on VxWorks, which is NOT Linux. Some would classify it as a Unix variant by it’s design style, but that’s where the line is drawn. You read the article, but didn’t do any research before you decided to advertise for it.
