Sure. Miro pulls videos from various web sources, including Hulu I believe. Hulu licenses content from various TV networks.

I have had quite the opposite experience as the previous poster. I have installed Hulu Desktop on 2 different systems, Kubuntu 8.04 and Kubuntu 9.04. It works great in both of them and I have had zero problems. My connection is a 3Mb down DSL connection.

@adam: The huludesktop client works just fine here (Arch Linux). It's just a flash binary, after all (Wrapped, of course). I've watched a few programs with it, been able to sign into my profile and access every feature flawlessly that I've tried so far. Your experience doesn't necessarily reflect all users experiences, so please don't deter people from giving it a shot.

While I have been waiting for a linux release of huludesktop, I have to suggest that people pass on this beta until it is released. I have tried the version available a couple days ago and a newer one since, and with both they fail at being able to watch anything. The only thing I was able to do is login and browse the content, but huludesktop craps out when trying to view shows or movies. I have been in contact with hulu support for the past couple of days and they are unable to narrow down the problem. I have a really fast 5~6Mb T1 connection and am able to watch it in the browser so the only thing left is the huludesktop client.
