Brilliant Brainstorms is a weekly summary of some of the best/most interesting brainstorms from the Ubuntu Brainstorm site.

Repositories are great for updating software, but a pain to install, even if you know how. It would be great to have a way for websites to put a button on their site that you can press and it automatically adds whatever repository is specified. Of course you would need a confirmation screen so that users don’t have to worry about accidentally installing something they don’t want to.
I don’t know about other people, but I would be way more likely to look at an introduction video than a text tutorial. I think that makes having a good video introduction to Ubuntu a great idea. Just don’t force me to look at it every time I boot my computer.
Anyone who has tried to use KDE applications on Ubuntu knows that they just don’t look right. It would be really nice to be able to use some of the cool KDE applications without constantly being reminded they are not designed for GNOME.

The guest account is a great idea, but it would be even better if someone could use any computer to check their email, even if the person’s screen is locked or they are logged out. Just adding a button to the log in screen and the locked screen page would fix this.

It would be nice to be able to customize the experience of people using the guest account. For example, you might make it so that the only browser they can use is Dillo or so that they don’t even have a GUI. You could also do something useful, like install an important application or change the artowrk.
