I have 8.04 installed on a partition with a dual-boot setup. I was just playing around with Skype and discovered that the mikes don't work. Thanks for your tip, I was able to fix the problem easily from Ubuntu's documentation. Skype's forum wasn't as helpful, but might be for a different problem.
