Normally, I would not support the inclusion of just released programs in an Ubuntu release, however OpenOffice 3.0 brings one incredibly important feature: some support for Microsoft’s new .docx formats. Delaying the inclusion of this feature will only make it harder for people to work with Windows users.

It is annoying and makes the Linux desktop seem less consistent when you try to run a KDE application on GNOME, only to see that things don’t look quite right. It would be much better if these applications were indistinguishable from GNOME applications.

The current implementation of copy/paste is kind of strange, if you think about it. It only allows you to copy a single thing at a time, then you have to paste it and go back to get anything else you wanted to copy. A more logical implementation would allow you to copy multiple pieces of text or images or anything.

While many people today are buying netbooks preinstalled with Linux, many people are still buying them with Windows. Either way, Wubi should be modified to make it as easy as possible to install Ubuntu, preferably the Netbook Remix, on netbooks.
