kalavalter – Yes, I know many of them are mockups, in this case, it does not really matter. The idea is to give people an idea of what is being thrown around and what the next Ubuntu *might* look like. If any of these pieces of art are chosen for inclusion in the final, they will be made into the real thing – if they are not already.

Also, I prefer not to just go through random art sites, since those are not necessarily intended for Intrepid.

Most of these are not even themes but only mockups. You should definetely research your topic a bit more. The https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Intrepid/Glow%20Ibex is promising and Shiki was considered in the art mailing list http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Shiki-Colors?content=86717. Also look around in the gnome-look.org there are some nice new themes that could be the next ibex one. The Ubuntu wiki is not the only place.

Like the moody Ibex/nightfall (daybreak?) desktop. Icons wont get lost in the clutter, and it has a sophistication about it. Nice……..
